Our Story
Meyer Corporation, U.S. was founded by kitchen visionary Stanley Cheng in 1981. Cheng brought his Hong Kong-based cookware business to Vallejo, California to collaborate and innovate stateside. His entrepreneurial spirit quickly expanded Meyer into the second largest cookware manufacturer in the world. Offshoots of the Meyer brand have spread the joy of cooking throughout eleven countries including Australia, China, Canada, and the U.K.
But Cheng’s passion for food and wine didn’t stop there. In 1997 he opened Hestan Vineyards on the eastern slope of Napa Valley.
Between 2013 and 2018, he expanded further, spreading Meyer’s message of human connection through cooking in three more enterprises: Hestan Commercial, Hestan Smart Cooking, and Meyer Mercantile.
